Fearless
Identity has been a word placed in my heart. I have an overflowing number of thoughts flooding my heart and mind when it comes to our identity in Christ. I thought I would share a few currently flowing from me.
As I have been studying and writing on our identity as women of God, I have found it to be such a beautiful thing, when we remind ourselves of how God sees His daughters.
Sometimes we get lost in society's labels, how we identify ourselves or measure our worth. We can so easily get wrapped up in seeking reassurance, validation, and wholeness from worldly things like relationships, work, friends, and society. We seek these things in hopes of finding wholeness, happiness or in an attempt to fill a void. I can tell you firsthand, you can search every relationship and all things worldly, but they will continue to leave you feeling empty and seeking more.
It was not until I found peace within myself and my identity in Christ, that I was truly made whole. When you build your peace and wholeness with Him the world cannot shake you. The world can label you, fail you and turn its back on you but you will NOT be shaken. Your truth will have been built on a firm foundation and the lies of the enemy will not prevail.
God CHOSE you!
You are so perfectly and wonderfully made. You have a calling and purpose on your life that God chose you to fulfill. Isn’t that incredible?! The creator of the universe set you apart. Beautiful daughter of the one most high, you have a purpose!
Ephesians 1:4
“Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes.”
When reflecting on my identity and worth as a woman of God, I am reminded of Deborah in Judges. God called on a WOMAN to fulfill a great task to lead His children and further His kingdom. In a time when women did not hold these statuses and a time where it would be very uncommon for a woman to be in a leadership role. God spoke to Deborah, and she LISTENED! She had confidence and trust in the Lord. She stepped out bravely to follow the calling He placed on her life. In this story I am reminded that God sees me. That I am valued, loved, and chosen by the creator.
WOW! Take a moment to fully take that in.. When we feel unworthy, unseen, left behind or not enough.. God, the King of Kings sees us as capable, worthy, trusted and chosen to carry out victories for His kingdom.
We are warriors! God has equipped us to lead His people spiritually, with love, wisdom, and strength. Fix your eyes on Him and step out.. Step out into His love.. Step out into the calling He has for your life.. Confidently trust in Him when He calls you into your purpose and places a calling in your Heart. Do not limit yourselves to worldly labels and expectations. Remember your identity in the Father. Stand firmly planted where He has placed you. Go out and conquer all He has in store for you!
Be fearless, Be a warrior
XOXO
